現在,日本においては,高齢化とともに少子化による人口減少に伴い,労働力人口が著しく減少しつつあるという大きな問題を抱えている。政府としてはその対策として,働きやすさと働きがいを実現し,一億総活躍社会を目指すものとしている。働きやすさと働きがいに関して,高齢者及び女性の活用により社会の活性化を図るために,多様な働き方を提案している。すなわち,高齢者に関しては,定年延長により社会参加を促し,体力の低下を短縮勤務等で負荷の軽減を図ることとし,女性については,その社会進出を図ることを目的に育児・介護制度を充実させ,柔軟な働き方を導入する等の施策を導入した。こうしてだれでもが働きやすい環境を実現しようとしている。\n
