近年,待機児童の問題が大きく取り上げられている。保育施設の増加が必要だが,保育士不足もあって容易ではない。保育士不足の原因の1つに,早期離職者の多さがあると言われている。そこで本研究では,保育士がなぜ早期に離職してしまうのかを検討する。\n 保育士146名に質問紙調査を行い,離職を考えた経験とその理由,職場環境について尋ねた。その結果,20代後半以降や保育経験6年以上で離職を考えた経験のある人が増加していた。離職を考えた理由は「職場の人間関係」「残業が多い」「給与面」が,保育士を続けてきてよかったことは「子どもの成長に貢献できていると思うこと」「子どもと一緒に過ごせること」「保育を通して充実感が得られること」が多かった。また離職を考えた経験のない人は,ある人よりも現在の職場には研修機会が多く,相談相手がいると感じていた。\n
